Content Management, Mobile Templates & QR Codes are Sweeeeet

The folks at MySkoopz, Inc. make a very cool, fully natural and calorie free sweetener. And, like any bootstrapping company, they had a couple of different challenges that needed addressing.

First, they needed a turnkey, content managed solution with a look that was both professional and built off their existing site, and a platform that came fully equipped with top notch Customer Relationship Management functions... and, well, let’s just say they needed it now. Second, their marketing plan called for a mobile approach using targeted QR codes to deliver coupons and track entrance.

Sweeeet.

For part the first – a fast and clean web build out in a hurry and with all the bells and whistles – we chose Business Catalyst and a case of Red Bull with IV drip feeds, the two perfect tools to build the perfect beast in less than 48 hours. After we got done we went out and bought new keyboards to replace the ones we melted, then took a couple of days off to blow spit bubbles.

Business Catalyst was an excellent fit for this particular project; frankly, in our experience there’s no way we could have bolted together pages of content, a baseline store locator, mailing lists with complete customer user data pickup tied to newsletter functionality, a slidy thing that delivered recipes in a neat sorta JavaScripty way, contact forms and ecommerce functionality in just a few hours with any other CMS. Especially in a CMS the client could both use and understand.

Next we needed to build out mobile-specific templates and content and generate QR codes to send people there. Luckily, we had the hand-dandy if somewhat primitive QR generator thingabob [okay, there are plenty of QR generators out there – but this way we get to plug ours and link to it], the experience to build solid & clean smartphone templates and the existing branding to work from.

One of Business Catalyst’s groovier features is the ability to assign templates to discreet pages; we were able to create a mobile wrapper and then drop specific content into two different silos – one to pick up user data and deliver a coupon, one for targeted information delivery – and out the door they went. Thanks to the public relations maniacs at Marketing Matters, not only did the campign go smoothly & successfully, it actually got written up.

Why Choose Us?

Passion. This is what we do. And we really, really like what we do.

That passion can be seen in all our work. We’re not going to sell you a substandard product, a shoddy site, an inferior logo, a subpar technology suite or a third-rate marketing plan just to get you out the door and a cheque in the bank. You’re going to get the best we can offer, no matter how small or large your project. Anything less would be selling ourselves short - and worse, selling you short.

What Our Clients Are Saying…

We’ve been working with the staff at Liquid Anvil for several years now. We’ve completed a bunch of projects together, and we’ll continue to bring new projects to their office. Why?
